An international business leader connecting sustainability and business to realise financial, social and environmental benefits. Currently, Mark is the Global Head of the Climate Business Hub (CBH) at WWF based in Berlin, Germany. The CBH incorporates 4 key global initiatives; Climate Savers, Corporate Renewables, Climate Solver and Science Based Targets initiative.
Previously, Mark was the Managing Director of 2degrees, a digital platform provider helping companies to reduce their energy, water and waste resulting in improved operational efficiency, innovation and brand equity.
Mark has benefitted from working in both large multi-nationals and start-ups, including founding SecondNature Partnership in 2009, a London-based sustainability advisory firm, exiting via a trade sale in 2014.
Multinational experience includes working at Dimension Data, a $7billion ICT company, setting up a global business unit focussed on intelligent & energy efficient buildings. Mark started his career at Procter & Gamble working in South Africa and in Italy.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa and an MSc from Reading
University’s School of Construction Management & Engineering. Mark served as a Non-Executive Director on the Professional
Services Board of Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).
In 2012, Mark was awarded ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ by the London based South African Chamber of Commerce. Mark is
conservationist, a keen ‘foodie’ & sportsman and has reluctantly become a road cycling MAMIL.
