Mauricio joined the Business & Human Rights Resource Centre in 2006. As part of the senior management team, he is involved in all major strategic, operational and financial decisions. He oversees the Europe and Latin America teams, and manages the “Business, Civic Freedoms and Human Rights Defenders” project. Mauricio is a volunteer member of the Board of the EIRIS Foundation, a member of the Advisory Panel of the Fundamental Rights Platform of the EU Agency for Fundamental Rights, and a member of the Advisory Committee of the Investor Alliance for Human Rights. Previously, Mauricio worked at International Criminal Court, Mexican Commission for the Protection & Defence of Human Rights, and B’Tselem (Israeli Information Centre for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories). Mauricio has a Law degree (honours) from University of Cambridge, and a BA in Political Sciences and History from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
